The Linden Library has been temporarily closed due to flooding in November, 2020. The reopening is scheduled for February 9, 2021. The Lobelville Library has been filling the void for our patrons, but once the doors reopen, we will be looking for all of you to come see the brand new library and appreciate all the hard work that went into this reconstruction effort.
With two branches, the Perry County Library offers the joyful access to reading to the entire community for children and adults. Each library stocks DVDs that can be checked out for a movie night at home with family and friends. There are audio books for those who would love to relax while someone reads to you. And there is a Genealogy Research Room for those who are in search of their own stories.
Activities for young children, teens and adults take place at both branches and include crafts, computer support, book signings and story times. The Library supports Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which delivers free books to children under age 5.
The Library’s professional staff is supported by a volunteer Board of Directors who work passionately to bring the joy of reading to Perry County’s residents. The Board meets every other month on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 4:15 p.m. in the Linden Branch. The Board Meetings are open to the public.
